A 47-year-old woman died of severe head injury after she was pushed to the ground by her live-in partner during their heated altercation Thursday afternoon in Navotas City.

Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging said Lilia Salido, of 91 B Caseñas St., Bgy. Tangos North was declared dead on arrival at the Tondo Medical Center.

Responding elements of the Navotas police were able to arrest victim’s live-in partner, identified as Charles De Leon, 41, electrician, who was reportedly stunned by the incident and events that happened so fast.

Ollaging said that the couple had a drinking session at the second floor of their house at around 5 p.m. when a heated argument ensued between them.

At the height of their altercation, De Leon gave his live-in partner a hefty shove causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head on the cemented floor.

The victim’s younger sister who heard the thud immediately went upstairs and was shocked to see her elder sister lying on the floor with blood oozing from her head.

De Leon, who is facing homicide charges, was later presented for inquest proceedings before the Navotas City Prosecutor’s Office.
