Woman gunned down in Ecija home
A WOMAN who was washing clothes outside her house on Sunday was shot dead in Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Nueva Ecija police identified the victim as Maria Elda Barlis, 50, of Bgy. Sinasajan, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
Initial probe showed that the victim was washing clothes outside her house when the suspects arrived and asked for her husband.
Suddenly, without apparent reasons, the suspects shot Barlis, causing her instantaneous death.
The suspects fled after the shooting.
The Nueva Ecija police immediately launched a dragnet operation for possible identification and arrest of suspects.
