Woman back rider shot dead
A WOMAN died on the spot after being shot by still unidentified assailants whil inside a a motorcycle along a highway in Batangas City, a police report said.
Batangas City police investigators identified the fatality as Mary Ann Pupuli.
The killing occurred in Bgy. Haligue Kanluran at 7 a.m. on June 7 in in Bgy. Haligue Kanluran.
Batangas cops had received a phone call from a local resident who reported the incident.
Batangas police, the victim along with hee live-in partner were seen on board a motorcycle around 7 p.m. cruising along the village highway.
The victim was unaware that they were being followed by the suspects riding a red and white Enduro motorcycle.
Police said the suspects, all clad in black jackets, bonnets, and helmets, denim pants, when fired at the victim hitting her in different parts of the body.
The suspects ma aged to escape.
