JUNGO Pinoy is giving Filipinos one of the best gifts we can get for the holidays – exciting entertainment one can stream for free.

Stream live sports, Korean dramas and more for free at Jungo Pinoy. AWSN (All Women’s Sports Network), Hallypop, telenovelas and an expanded library of Filipino movies free to watch at jungopinoy.com and on your phone when you download the app.

Created by Los Angeles-based media company Jungo TV, who believes that top-quality entertainment should be accessible to everyone, Jungo Pinoy is making that vision into a reality by opening its full library of quality content for Pinoys to freely access on jungopinoy.com.

Viewers can also stream anytime, anywhere on their mobile phones when they download the Jungo Pinoy app.

With the streaming service announcing that yes, “Libre na lahat,” all the good stuff from its groundbreaking new sports network, K-fan favorite channel, to what’s touted to be the next soap opera obsession after the hit show Marimar, Jungo Pinoy is ready for viewers to enjoy its awesome, free-to-watch content.

Live matches can be viewed on the All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN).

JungoTV teamed up with EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards) winner, producer and advocate for equality Whoopi Goldberg and launched the All Women’s Sports Network, the game changing channel dedicated to airing women’s sports.

Whoopi’s long list of blockbusters includes Ghost, Sister Act, The Color Purple and The Lion King.

“I’m not normally someone who fights for something,” Whoopi said. “But this has been 11 years in the making and I just could never understand why women aren’t interested in this.

“And I know that’s not to be true. To find somebody who said ‘Yes,’ it’s a magical world. Women are playing sports around the world. There are sports that we know nothing about in this country that we don’t know women who are are playing it.

“Women have not been invited to this party. But if someone is offering you and someone is there for you, you just kind of figure, I’m not meant to be doing this. I have a ten-year-old great granddaughter and she deserves to see herself in any sport that’s being played.”

Whoopi insisted it’s not true that women are not interested I sports. “We pay attention to everything. We have to. We take our kids to go play sports. We go with our husbands to watch sports. We want to see us to go watch sports, too.

“We need an all-women sports network. So, when others say women have no interest in sports, that’s not true. It took the folks at Jungo TV to say ‘This can work.’ So many people have this outdated thought-process about who women are and what they want.

“Women want everything everybody else wants. That means we want to go out and have fun. We want to play tennis, basketball, hockey. There are so many sports that we are involved in that we’re doing and have been doing that no one is paying attention to.

“I want to change that because I want to pay attention and there’s at least five or six million other people who want to pay attention, as well.”

Whoopi asked if the women are watching sports in the Philippines. “Are they watching the women who are competing? If they are watching, what makes you think they are not going to watch other things?”

Whoopi said people want to see good sports and want to see it played well. “I believe that’s not going to change, regardless of the sport you are interested in. That is my belief and people in the Philippines are smart enough to know that., especially the women.

“Women in sports is that concept whose time has finally come. You know it and I know it. We are serious about our sports. We want our daughters to see how it works. Good sportspersonship is important.”

AWSN is streaming exclusively for free on Jungo Pinoy. AWSN carries live games from nine major sports, including basketball, volleyball, tennis, beach volleyball, table tennis, soccer, American football, cricket and field hockey.

The channel airs sports matches from some of the world’s most popular women’s leagues such as the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL).

JungoTV CEO and co-founder George Chung cannot be any prouder with the launch of the free TV streaming app in the Philippines.

“This bold new venture represents a significant step forward in the representation and celebration of female athletes everywhere,” Chung said. He also mentioned the possibility of adding women’s sports leagues in the Philippines to their programming in the future.

“We are seeking to showcase some of the top leagues and athletes in the Philippines to a global audience.”

JungoTV also carries top-notch Korean entertainment. Fans of K-dramas, K-pop and K-variety shows can rejoice because Jungo Pinoy has an extensive and free roster of Korean entertainment content.

Popular channel Hallypop is on the streaming service with its programming lineup of music and lifestyle shows and live concerts.

JungoTV also headlines the telenovela comeback. A story of passion, betrayal and triumph, that’s Tagumpay ng Pag-ibig, the Mexican telenovela that is following on the heels of megahit Marimar.

Also from Televisa, the major Latin American mass media corporation and largest producer of Spanish-language content, Tagumpay ng Pag-ibig has all the elements that Filipinos love.

From a pretty but down-on-her-luck orphan protagonist to root for, the rich and handsome male lead she falls in love with, to some villains we can collectively feel some type of way about.

Rebelde is the story of six teenagers attending a prominent private school and whose different lives and personalities converge through their vocation and passion for music. With Tagumpay ng Pag-ibig, they are leading the dramatic soap opera comeback on Jungo Pinoy.

The app is also proud of its expanded library of Filipino films from drama, action, sexy, romance, comedy, horror, even the classics including Lino Brocka film.

As JungoTV COO (chief operating officer) Miguel Santos puts it, “When we say Jungo Pinoy is making quality content accessible, we mean it. The best part is we’re always working on adding more content, channels and perks for all our Filipino viewers.”
