Financing conglomerate exec asks:

WHILE big-time financiers have closed the tap for trailing presidential bet Leni Robredo, there are still others who donate funds for her campaign.

However, a financing conglomerate executive questioned where these funds go as he disclosed that prior to one of her rallies in Metro Manila last month, Robredo, along with Sonny Trillanes and Bam Aquino, met with the higher-ups of his company, which is composed of several financing companies.

However, despite the negotiation, the conglomerate officials still gave campaign funds which was allegedly handed over to Aquino while they were still in the said office.

The executive disclosed that while he could not confirm the amount given, when they supported a senatorial candidate in 2016, the company gave her P200,000 to P300,000 so the amount given to Robredo would be higher since she is running for president.

The source said he is not questioning the act of donating since their company’s officials are Robredo supporters.

Meanwhile, contractors in Samar were also complaining about being forced to cough up P60,000 for Robredo’s campaign if they wanted their project billings to be processed.
