SAN JOSE CITY — A 32-year-old man applying for a police clearance was arrested after authorities discovered he has a standing arrest warrant for violation of a city ordinance in Mandaluyong City.
City police head Lt. Col. Ariel V. Enriquez identified the arrested suspect as alias “Angelo,” of Zone 3, Bgy. San Isidro, Lupao, Nueva Ecija.
Angelo was applying for Philippine National Police clearance when upon verification of the records, it was discovered that he has a standing arrest warrant for violation of City Ordinance Section 5(A) No. 671, S-2017 or the Comprehensive Smoke Free Ordinance, with recommended bail set at P2,000.
The warrant of arrest was issued by the Mandaluyong City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 100 on March 8, 2023.
Enriquez said his men immediately took custody of the wanted man, who is now locked up in jail.
