AFTER President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. removed her as a member of the National Security Council (NSC), Vice President Sara Duterte might soon be facing a fourth impeachment complaint that would be filed before the House of Representatives.

According to House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, “Ilang miyembro ng mayorya sa Kongreso ang nagpahiwatig na maghahain ng ika-apat na impeachment complaint laban sa Bise-Presidente.”

Sec. Gen. Velasco refused to name the legislators behind the intent to file another impeachment case against Sara.

“Actually ang gusto nga ng ilan umusad na kahit isa lang sa naunang tatlong impeachment complaint laban kay VP pero hindi ba ayaw na ni PBBM ito ituloy?,” Velasco added.

But then Congress is not under the Executive Branch that would require it to follow the dictates of Malacañang.

The complaint against VP Sara stemmed from the inability to explain how the P125-million confidential funds were spent in 2023.

Just last week, Sara was removed by PBBM as a member of the NSC.

According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin the President merely implemented the reorganization of the group.

“The reorganization is a presidential prerogative ang nobody should question about that,” Sec. Bersamin said.
