RESURGENT VNS drew solid outputs anew from Pemie Bagalay and Ron Medalla to beat Air Force, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, for its third win in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference at the Paco Arena yesterday.

Coach Ralph Ocampo was satisfied the way the Griffins conquer the Airmen in four close sets to move up at the upper half of the standings.

“Magaling talaga yung kalaban namin kasi mga veteran yan eh, sa amin si Pemie at Ron lang kaya ayun naga-adjust pa rin kami sa attacks namin. Tinry namin makipagsabayan, maganda naman yung naging result,” said Ocampo.

Bagalay delivered on both ends of the floor with 17 points and 29 receptions while Medalla, returning after missing the previous season due to knee injury, contributed 10 points for VNS.

“High morale pero marami pa kasi kaming malakas na team na pagdadaanan. We have lots of things to improve kasi nga mga bagets,” said Ocampo.

Jeremy Pedrosa had two blocks blocks, for Air Force, which dropped in a tie with Santa Rosa at 1-4.
