THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC) announced Friday that the final event for Million Volunteer Run 6 will be a virtual gathering on June 12, 2022 instead of the originally-planned face-to-face event at the Mall of Asia grounds initially scheduled for the same day.

Philippine Red Cross Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon said the decision was made to prioritize the safety of Filipinos since the threat of Covid-19 is still present especially with the detection of Omicron subvariants in the National Capital Region, Palawan, and Baguio City per the DOH. Gordon added that the emerging threat of the Omicron subvariants cannot be overestimated.

The virtual gathering of runners and bikers in The Million Volunteer Run 6 will cap this year’s annual fundraising and volunteer recruitment of the Philippine Red Cross. Raffle prizes including mountain bikes, Ogawa massage chairs, a laptop, tablets, Airpods, Fitbits, and cash will be raffled off to the lucky winners. Registration is still open through https://bit.ly/MillionVolunteerRun6.
