Villar leads in latest senatorial surveys

UNITEAM senatorial aspirant and former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar topped the senatorial survey for the upcoming synchronized elections with a 68.5% voter preference.

This was based on the latest survey results from the HKPH-Public Opinion and Research Center in collaboration with the Hong Kong-based Asia Research Center.

Villar thanked his supporters for their continued trust in his ability to render public service.

“Salamat po sa inyong tiwala at pagpapahalaga sa aking serbisyo publiko. Masaya po ako sa resulta ng survey at maraming salamat po sa mga taong sumusuporta at naniniwala sa aking kakayahan na mag-lingkod sa ating bansa. Isang malaking karangalan po ito sa akin,” he said.

The survey was conducted from April 3-8, 2022, using face-to-face interviews with 5,500 respondents – the margin of error is 3% for the national percentage.

“Malaking bagay po sa atin ang suporta at tiwala ng mga Pilipino, asahan niyo na akin pong ipagpapatuloy ang magandang nasimulan ng Build Build Build [BBB] Program upang makapagbigay ng kabuhayan para sa mga manggagawang Pilipino. Maraming salamat po suporta sa akin lalo na po ang adhikain natin na ipagpatuloy ang ‘Build Build Build’, Mahal ko po kayo,” Villar added.

Villar was followed by Antique Representative Loren Legarda (65.1%), broadcaster Raffy Tulfo (62.3%), Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero (60.2%), Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri (54.7%), and former House Speaker Alan Cayetano (52.3%).

Meanwhile, in 7th to 12th place were Sen. Win Gatchalian (51.1%), Filipino film actor Robin Padilla (43.9%), former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay (42.6%), Sen. Joel Villanueva (41.3%), former Senator Gringo Honasan (32.7%) and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (32.5%).

Also included in the list of preferred senatorial candidates are former Senator JV Estrada Ejercito (31.6%) at 13th place followed by Senator Risa Hontiveros (30.4%), Senator Dick Gordon (30.2%), former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista (27.1%), former Presidential Spokesperson Sec. Harry Roque (26.8%), former Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar (25.4%), former senator Antonio Trillanes IV (24.2%), former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro (23.5%), Astravel “Astra” Pimentel-Naik (15.7%), Senator Leila De Lima (14.3%), Atty. Chel Diokno (13.2%), and Atty. Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon (12.5%).
