Villar jumps to no. 2 in OCTA Senate survey

UNITEAM senatorial bet and former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar jumped to number two on the senatorial survey for the upcoming May 9 synchronized election of OCTA Research on senatorial preference after getting a 59% of the total survey participant.

“Maraming salamat po sa OCTA research, salamat din po sa mga kababayan natin sa tiwala at pagpapahalaga sa aking serbisyo publiko, masaya po ako sa resulta ng survey, maraming salamat po sa mga taong sumusuporta at naniniwala sa aking kakayahan na mag lingkod sa ating bansa,” Villar said.

Based on the survey conducted from April 2 to 6 2022, with 1,200 respondents from all social classes nationwide, broadcaster Raffy Tulfo is still the frontrunner, with 68% of the voter preference.

Villar was followed by Antique Representative Loren Legarda (56%), Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri (54%), Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero (50%), and former House Speaker Alan Cayetano (48%).

Meanwhile, the six other senatorial candidates who made it to the winning circle of the OCTA survey are Filipino film actor Robin Padilla (44%), former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay (42%), former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (42%), Sen. Joel Villanueva (41%), Sen. Win Gatchalian (39%), and former Senator JV Estrada Ejercito (36%).

Close behind the Magic twelve are Sen. Risa Hontiveros (33%), former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista (28%), former Presidential Spokesperson Sec. Harry Roque (25%), former Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar (24%), former senator Gringgo Honasan (24%), and former senator Antonio Trillanes IV (22%).

“Asahan niyo na akin pong ipagpapatuloy ang magandang nasimulan ng Build Build Build (BBB) Program upang makapagbigay ng kabuhayan para sa mga manggagawang Pilipino. Malaking bagay po sa atin ang suporta at tiwala ng mga Pilipino. Ako po, kasama ang buong UniTeam ay may iisang adhikain para sa mga mamayang Pilipino,” Villar assured.
