DEPUTY Speaker and Las Piñas Lone District Rep. Camille Villar welcomed the results of an independent, non-commissioned survey indicating that she was among the top 10 district representatives in Metro Manila.

Results of a survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) and performed per district in every region showed Villar placing second among district congressmen in the National Capital Region (NCR) with a 71% rating.

“I am truly grateful for the trust and confidence expressed by the people, particularly our constituents, through this recent survey. I am honored for the opportunity to serve Las Piñeros,” said Villar.

A total of 10,000 respondents participated in the survey conducted from August 1 to 10, with a margin of error of 3%.

“We will use this survey as our guide and continue our work that will provide relief to our kababayans, especially in these challenging times,” Villar added.

Overall, San Juan Rep. Ronaldo Zamora (Lone District) topped the survey at 80% rating, while Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano (1st District) placed third at 70%. Placing fourth is Navotas Rep. John Reynald Tiangco (1st District) with 68%, followed by Quezon City Rep. Jose Christopher “Kit” Belmonte (6th District) with 67%, Caloocan Rep. Dale Malapitan (1st District) with 65% and Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon (Lone District) with 64%.

On eighth spot is Valenzuela Rep. Eric Martinez (2nd District) with 62%, trailed by Parañaque Rep. Joy Myra Tambunting (2nd District) with 61% and Marikina Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo (2nd District) in tenth place with 60% rating.

RPMD said the ratings and rankings were “greatly dependent on the job and performances” of the representatives.

The foundation added that the expectations and duties of the members of Congress are extensive that encompass several roles as regards representation, legislation and constituent service, and it is “noteworthy to commend them for performing well in their districts.”
