TRENDING ang hashtags na #Villar, #ABS-CBN at #AnditoTayoParaSaABS-CBN sa Twitterworld kahapon matapos kumpirmahin ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) na nakuha na ng kumpanyang pag-aari ni dating Sen. Manny Villar ang frequency na noo’y naka-assign sa Kapamilya channel.

Inaprubahan na nga ng NTC nu’ng Miyerkules ang pag-simulcast ng Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) ni Villar sa analog Channel 2 at digital channel 16.

Dahil dito, muling nagkalat sa socmed ang mga pahayag ng ABS network personalities na unang lumutang sa unang anibersaryo ng pagkaka-deny ng prangkisa ng Kapamilya station.

Ni-rehash ng ABS supporters ang tinuran ni ABS-CBN President/CEO Carlo Katigbak na nagsasabing, “ABS-CBN is not our franchise, it’s not our transmitters, it’s not our studios. ABS-CBN is found in the heart of every Kapamilya that chooses to serve the Filipino. ABS-CBN is you. And for so long as the passion to serve burns brightly in you, ABS-CBN will continue to be alive and well.”

Ang dating ABS-CBN News Channel head namang si Jing Magsaysay, may banat sa noo’y mga gustong magmay-ari sa Channel 2 frequency.

Aniya, “A frequency is just a frequency. Content creation is a whole different ball game. Plus, I hope they realize that the audience does not come with the frequency. You’re going to have to work blood, sweat and tears to build what ABS-CBN accomplished over 34 years plus the years before Marcos stole the channel. You can get the franchise but you will never be ABS-CBN.”

Hindi pa rito nagtapos ang kaguluhan sa Twitter dahil ilang netizens din ang bumuhay sa isyu ng pagboto diumano ng “no” ni House Deputy Speaker at Las Piñas City Congresswoman Camille Villar (unica hija nina former Sens. Manny at Cynthia) sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN halos two years ago.

Samantala, ang singer-songwriter na si Ogie Alcasid ay nakitaan ng post sa Instagram kahapon na nagbibigay ng suporta sa mga Kapamilya.

Nag-upload si Ogie ng isang selfie sa may entrance ng istasyon sa Mother Ignacia St., na nilagyan niya ng caption na: “Keeping everyone here at our workplace and most especially those that we have lost close to my heart. Let’s keep our head down and keep serving. All glory to God. #kapamilya.”
