A 49-YEAR-old vendor in Caloocan City accused of threatening to spread the obscene videos and photographs of his ex-girlfriend if she won’t have sex with him again was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group in an entrapment operation, PNP-ACG director Brigadier General Joel B. Doria said yesterday.

The suspect who was a resident of Barangay 78, Caloocan City, was charged with violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Violence against Women and their Children Act, grave coercion, grave threat and the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, all in relation to RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, the official said.

According to Brig. Gen. Doria, the suspect was arrested by members of the Northern District Anti-Cybercrime Team led by Captain Santiago Roy in an entrapment operation launched in coordination with the Caloocan City Police Sub-Station 3 under Colonel Ruben Lacuesta.

The sting was conducted following a complaint from a 20-year-old woman who accused the suspect of threatening to upload their sex videos and her nude photos in the social media if she won’t agree to have sex with him in a motel. The suspect told the complainant he will only delete their sex videos and her nude photos once she agrees to meet him.
