Veggie vendor shot dead by two fake buyers

A 47-YEAR-OLD vegetable vendor was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men while working in a store in Nasugbu, Batangas, according to a report by police on Tuesday.

Nasugbu Municipal Police Station chief Major Mark Jason Gatdula identified the identified fatality as Heracleo Bacit, with a live partner, a resident of Bolbok, Butucan, this town.

Case investigators P/SSgs Wilson Torres Mendoza and Wilson Torres Mendoza learned that Bacit, a farmer, was arranging vegetables around 9 a.m. on November 23 when the suspect arrived on a black and orange Yamaha Mio motorcycle without plate number.

The suspects pretended to buy vegetables. One of them pulled out a gun and shot the victim repeatedly.

An ongoing investigation is still undertaken to identify the suspect/s and eventually file charges against them.
