Vax program halted in Noveleta, 11 staff test positive for COVID
NOVELETA, Cavite — Vaccination program, lying-in center and the Municipal Health Center were forced to stop after 11 of its staff tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing RT PCR test last Monday, January 3, 2022.
In compliance with the Department of Health (DOH) and Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) protocol, the Noveleta Health Office staff members are undergoing quarantine and isolation due to their close contacts.
Mayor Dino Chua was temporarily forced to close the offices of Noveleta Health Center, Primark Vaccination Center, and Noveleta Lying-in Center.
“Just wait for the next notification of the Noveleta Health Office on Monday on the scheduled return of their services,” said Chua.
After zero cases during Christmas, tNoveleta recorded 36 active cases and 61 suspected cases on January 4, 2022.
“Pinapayuhan ko po ang ating mga kababayan na manatili muna sa kani-kanilang mga bahay ang mga kabataan, mga senior citizens at persons with disabilities (PWDs) dahil tayo po ay nasa Alert Level III,” Chua said.
Chua also instructed the Local Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office to conduct disinfection in each of the said offices while they remain closed.(Dennis Abrina/TMT
