VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur — Another victim of module learning?

This after a young student at the state-owned University of Northern Philippnes (UNP) was believed to have hanged himself few minutes after discussing his module assignment in Brgy. Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

Police said the victim was a Grade 8 student of UNP and a resident of Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, a belated police reported yesterday.

Initial investigation gathered by the police showed that according to the youth’s mother they were discussing the modules when at about 7:20 p.m. of June 24, 2021 when the student suddenly retreated to his room.

After 30 minutes, the mother found the door to her son’s room locked prompting her to knock repeatedly.

When her son failed to respond, the mother opened his room with the use of a duplicate key. She then saw her 15-year-old kid hanging from the ceiling with a belt tied around his neck.

The teener was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Vigan Hospital.
