‘Unified Grand Station’ konektado sa MRT, LRT, MM Subway lines

APAT na major rail lines ang inaasahang kokonekta sa oras na matapos ang konstruksyon ng Unified Grand Station o mas kilala sa tawag na “Common Station,” ayon kay Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade, sa isinagawang inspeksyon nitong Huwebes.

Ayon kay Sec. Tugade, ang Common Station ay magdurugtong sa MRT-3, MRT-7, LRT-1, at sa Metro Manila (MM) Subway.

“Today, I see the project with hope and optimism. I hope when I come back before the end of March, I will have the full realization that this Common Station is now fully completed physically and structurally,” pahayag ni Tugade.

“I hope that when I come, I will see the connection perfected so that the Filipino people and the passengers will see the beauty. The beautiful connection between the common station and the atrium,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.

Layunin ng proyekto na mabigyan ng mabilis, komportable, at kumbinyenteng biyahe ang mga commuter.

Kapansin-pansin din ang kahanga-hangang disenyo ng atrium ng Common Station na magbibigay atraksyon din sa mga komyuter. Tinataya namang may 13,700 sqm. ang laki ng lobby na may kakayahang mag-accommodate sa 500,000 na pasahero kapag fully operational na.

Inaasahan makikita at bubuksan ang Common Station sa lalong madaling panahon, alinsunod sa hangarin ni President Rodrigo Roa Duterte na mabigyan ng maayos at komportableng buhay ang mga Pilipino sa ilalim “Build, Build, Build” (BBB) program.

Kabilang sa naganap na inspeksiyon sina Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko, Japan International Cooperation Agency

(JICA) Chief Representative Eigo Azukizawa, DOTr Undersecretary for Finance Giovanni Lopez, DOTr Undersecretary for Railways Timothy John Batan, LRTA Administrator Jeremy Regino, MRT-3 Director for Operations Michael Capati, at si BF Consortium President CEO Marides Fernando, maging ang kinatawan ng mga private partners ng proyekto.
