Umali endorses BBM’S PFP local bets in San Jose City

SAN JOSE CITY — Nueva Ecija’s Unang Sigaw Partido ng Pagbabago titular head Gov. Aurelio “Oyie” Umali reiterated his full support to “Team One San Jose” bets led by re-electionist city mayor Mario “Kokoy” Salvador, a known stalwart of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, the political party of former senator and presidential front-runner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Umali, who is vying for his second term of office this May 9 local polls, was in this city to formally endorse the campaign bids of Salvador and his entire political slate during a grand proclamation rally held in Bgy. Malasin on Friday night.

Aside from Mayor Salvador, other Team One San Jose members whose hands were raised by Umali in affirmation of Unang Sigaw’s full backing were his vice mayoral-running mate and son councilor Alexis “Ali” Salvador, and councilor-bets Ed Agliam, Roy Andres, Doc Susan Corpuz, Derick Dysico, Vanz Global Manugue, Mawie Munsayac, Kap Ogie Tantiongco, Wille Nuňez, Trixie Salvador, and Mulong Valenton Jr.

Also personally endorsed by Umali were PFP second district chairman and congressional bet Joselito “Lito” Violago, re-electionist Board member Joseph “Wowowee” Ortiz and PFP region 3 secretary-general/NE provincial chair- Dindo Dysico, who is also vying for Board member in the second district.

Adding color and entertainment to the event was the special appearance of singer-actress and Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales.

Addressing the huge crowd of more than 8,000, Umali wooed them by enumerating the programs and projects that were implemented to help the people, including the local farmers. especially during the pandemic.

The governor also noted that the putting up in 2019 of his pet project, the Provincial Food council, paved the way for the provincial government, the only LGU in the country, to procure newly-harvested palay from local farmers at a higher market price amid the implementation of the Rice Tariffication Law.

Umali added that this noble undertaking led them in launching the “Alagang Umali” free rice distribution program in the province’s 849 barangays that was felt year-round during the start of the pandemic and until now.

“Kahit ayaw sa atin ay paglingkuran natin, sapagkat ikaw ay tunay na ama (ng lalawigan), lahat paglilingkuran, walang pipiliin,” said the governor.
