TWO women, allegedly notorious drug pushers, were arrested in a P2.8 million drug sting operation Thursday evening in Navotas City.

Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging identified the arrested suspects as Emma David, 48, and Mercy Cedon, 46, both residing in Bgy. North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS)-Kaunlaran.

The two were the subject of a drug-bust operation by elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) following a week-long surveillance and monitoring operation of their illegal drug activities.

The drug sting was conducted at around 8:40 p.m. along Babanse St., Bgy. NBBS Kaunlaran,

Operatives of SDEU seized a total of 420 grams of shabu from the suspects with standard drug price amounting to P2,856,000, cellular phone and P34,000 marked money consisting of four pieces of genuine P1,000 bill and 30 pieces of boodle money.

National Capital Region Police Office Director P/MGen. Vicente Danao Jr. commended the operatives of Navotas Police and Northern Police District Director P/BGen. Jose Santiago Hidalgo for the job well done.

“Hindi matatawaran ang sipag at dedikasyon ng ating mga kapulisan upang masugpo ang talamak na bentahan at paggamit ng iligal na droga sa Kamaynilaan. Patuloy ang paglulunsad ng mga ganitong klaseng buy-bust para matukoy ang puno’t dulo ng lahat ng mga iligal na gawain na may kaugnayan sa droga at kriminalidad,” Danao said.
