TRABAHO Partylist vows to pursue key advocacy with latest SWS findings
TRABAHO Partylist has expressed strong determination to advance its advocacy to generate widespread, inclusive, and sustainable employment, economic, and social advancement opportunities for all following the results of the latest survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS). The survey, which highlighted jobs, food, and health as the top three concerns of Filipinos, was met with a reaffirmed commitment from the partylist to prioritize these vital issues in their legislative agenda.
The SWS survey revealed that a majority of Filipinos cited securing employment, ensuring access to nutritious food, and improving healthcare services as their primary concerns. These findings underscore the growing need for comprehensive policies that address the economic challenges faced by ordinary citizens, especially in the face of rising costs and ongoing global uncertainties.
In response, TRABAHO Partylist—known for its focus on labor, livelihood, and economic empowerment—has pledged to push for measures that will generate stable, long-term employment opportunities for Filipinos. The partylist aims to collaborate with both the public and private sectors to implement policies that promote entrepreneurship, increase job creation, and support industries that are key to the nation’s recovery.
TRABAHO Partylist spokesperson Atty. Mitchell-David L. Espiritu expressed their commitment to advancing these causes and emphasized that their advocacy goes beyond just legislation, aiming for real action that improves the lives of Filipinos every day. In line with the survey findings, Atty. Espiritu also emphasized the importance of addressing food security by ensuring the generation of inclusive and sustainable employment.
Moreover, with many Filipinos still facing difficulties in accessing quality health services, the partylist aims to advocate for better healthcare coverage as part of employment benefits, especially for informal sector workers. Atty. Espiritu also commended the government’s existing initiatives on improving the job market and healthcare but stressed that more needs to be done to ensure that these sectors are resilient and can meet the growing demands of the Filipino people.
With the SWS survey serving as a barometer of the public’s needs, TRABAHO Partylist is resolute in ensuring that their advocacy remains a priority as they continue to champion legislation that meets the fundamental needs of the Filipino people.
