TRABAHO Partylist stands in solidarity for National Women’s Month
IN celebration of National Women’s Month this March, TRABAHO Partylist reaffirms its commitment to championing women’s rights and empowerment in the workplace and beyond. As the nation highlights the role of women across all sectors, the partylist vows to push for policies that promote equal opportunities and gender inclusivity in employment.
With this year’s theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” TRABAHO Partylist recognizes the invaluable contributions of women in various fields, from education and healthcare to business and governance.
TRABAHO Partylist spokesperson Atty. Mitchell-David L. Espiritu said the partylist acknowledges the persistent challenges women face, including the gender pay gap, underrepresentation in leadership roles, and barriers to employment opportunities.
Atty. Espiritu also noted their advocacy for systemic changes to ensure gender equity in the workforce. Among the group’s priorities are wage equality, job placement reforms, and the promotion of flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home setups, parental leave, and daycare services.
Additionally, the partylist seeks to enhance digital job application processes, making it easier for women, particularly working mothers, to access employment opportunities, said Atty. Espiritu.
Beyond employment policies, TRABAHO Partylist is also committed to providing mentorship programs, leadership training, and skills development initiatives aimed at empowering women re-entering the workforce. It envisions a future where women, regardless of background, can thrive in industries traditionally dominated by men and play an active role in shaping the country’s progress, added Atty. Espiritu.
As National Women’s Month continues, TRABAHO Partylist calls on the public to support efforts that foster inclusivity and gender equality. The partylist emphasizes that a stronger workforce and a more prosperous nation can only be achieved when women are given the same opportunities to succeed.
In the upcoming elections, TRABAHO Partylist seeks the people’s support to push for legislative reforms that uphold women’s rights, ensure fair labor practices, and create a more equitable society for all.
