THE Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines is holding the 8th edition of the four-day Regional Travel Fair (RTF) in Zamboanga starting yesterday.

This, following the massive success of its first hybrid edition staged in Tacloban City last August.

Home to Olympic medalists Hidilyn Diaz and Eumir Marcial, Zamboanga also boasts its natural and cultural gifts towards self-discovery, dynamic cultural exchange, and instills among its visitors the “Pride of Place” especially now that more destinations gain momentum as their doors reopen for local travelers.

The full ‘Colors of Mindanao’ will be front and center of the 4-day hybrid RTF which will also showcase the best products and tourism offerings of the entire region, leaving you wanting to explore Zamboanga, once more, with its catchy tagline #OnceAgainZamPen.

Jampacked webinar sessions are slated on December 2 featuring Department of Tourism (DOT) – Tourism Planning Undersecretary Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar on “Halal Tourism: Muslim-Friendly Tourism Project”; Bambike Founder Bryan Benitez McClelland sharing “Sustainable Tourism: Making it Beautiful”; S.M.I.L.E.S Specialist and Consultant Apple Allison discussing “Gender Trends in Philippines’ Tourism Destination”; and DOT-Region IX Officer-in-Charge Wenceslao Galeza giving the latest Regional Tourism Updates from the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Moreover, a whole-day hybrid Travel Exchange / Business-to-Business (B2B) session between local sellers and buyers will take place to expand networks, foster exchanges, and compound the best travel and tourism-related practices aligned with the new normal health and safety protocols for a safe, fun, and enriching travel experience for all domestic travelers.

In addition, a two-day hybrid Business-to-Consumer (B2C) will be aimed at scoring huge deals through live selling of domestic tour packages, native handicrafts, accessories, food items, and more.
