TOPS to host San Juan Predators
NEWLY-crowned PCAP San Miguel Corporation-Ayala Land chess champion San Juan Predators will be the special guests in the 130th edition of the “Usapang Sports on Air” by the Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS).
United States-based GM OlIver Barbosa, IM Rolando Nolte and WIM Jan Jodilyn Fronda will talk about the Predators’ successful campaign in the season-ending third conference
San Juan defeated Iloilo Kisela Knights, 19-2 and 11.5-9.5, to clinch the title last Nov. 27
Joining them are PCAP Chairman and San Juan team owner Michael Angelo Chua and coach Hubert Estrella.
Also appearing in the second part of the program are boxing legend Rolando Bohol, Happy Denuyo of the Philippine Volcanoes women’s team and Epok Quimpo of Smart Omega.
TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members to attend the weekly public service program sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Games and Amusements Board (GAB).
TOPS is composed of editors, columnists, reporters and photographers of the country’s leading national tabloids and friends from different social media groups.
This is the 130th episode of the TOPS “Usapang Sports” since its formal launch at the National Press Club in 2018 and its 72nd edition since turning to a new platform due to the pandemic.
Veteran sportscaster Ernest Leo Hernandez is the moderator.
