Tingog Partylist among 1st responders, visits MSU bombing victims

TingogTingog2TINGOG Partylist was among the groups to immediately respond and assist victims of Sunday’s blast at the Dimaporo Gymnasium in the Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi that killed four people and wounded many others.

Lanao del Sur 1st District Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong thanked Tingog Partylist, being represented in the House of Representatives by Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez and Jude Acidre, for extending assistance after the terrorist attack.

“We offer our deepest and most profound gratitude to all colleagues who shared enough condemnation and who have extended condolences.

Ako po ay buong nagpapasalamat sa Tingog Partylist para sa kanilang napakabilis na pagresponde sa napakahalagang mga oras pagkatapos ng trahedyang ito,” Adiong said during plenary session of the House of Representatives.

Tingog–Cotabato offered medical assistance to the survivors of the blast, who were taken to the Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City and the MSU Infirmary.

The team also held meetings with various officials to ascertain how the group could further assist the victims.

Tingog Partylist BARMM Regional Chairperson Bai Hasmin Ayunan Ebrahim and her team met with Bangsamoro Interim Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim and Presidential Peace Adviser Sec. Carlito G. Galvez, Jr., along with Maguindanao Del Norte Gov. Abdulraof Macacua and Lanao Del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr.

The team from Tingog distributed 200 free meals and bottled waters to students inside the campus who stayed inside after the blast.
