TINGOG Party-list Representative Yedda Marie K. Romualdez and Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Friday said more people can now avail of government services closer to their homes following the launch of three more Alagang Tingog Center (ATC) in Davao del Norte province.

On Thursday, Tingog expanded its outreach program with the inauguration of separate ATCs in Tagum City and the municipalities of Asuncion and San Isidro. Just a day before, Tingog also formally opened an ATC each in Samal Island, Panabo City, and the municipality of Carmen.

“Consistent with Tingog’s mission to bring forth change, hope, and progress, we are pursuing the mission to reach out to more people, especially those in remote areas, to make it easier for them to avail of government services,” Rep. Romualdez said.

Rep. Romualdez, the wife of Speaker Romualdez, also thanked the concerned local officials for their cooperation and assistance in the establishment of the ATCs in their respective jurisdictions as well as the people of Davao Del Norte for their warm reception.

“Salamat po sa lahat ng ating local officials sa suporta nila ganun din po sa ating mga kababayan sa Davao del Norte sa mainit nilang pagtanggap. Huwag po kayong mag-atubili na pumunta sa ating mga ATC at makakaasa kayo na gagawin naming ang aming makakaya upang maihatid sa inyo ang karampatang serbisyo,” she added.

“With these new ATCs, many of our people in the province of Davao del Norte can enjoy needed government services practically next to their doorstep, sparing them the inconvenience of traveling to urban centers for this purpose. I hope and pray for the success of this endeavor so we can reach out to more people in the future,” Speaker Romualdez for his part said.

The formal opening of the additional ATCs in the province was signified by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Davao del Norte Vice Governor Oyo Uy and House Deputy Secretary General Ponyong Gabonada.

Vice Gov Uy and DSG Gabonada were joined by Asuncion Mayor Eufracio Dayaday in the inauguration of the ATC in the municipality of Asuncion, while Tagum Mayor Rey Uy was present to support the formal opening of the new public assistance center in his city.

Following the inauguration rites, the ATCs commenced their services with the distribution of P2,000 in financial assistance under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.

Some 500 residents of San Isidro were the initial recipients of the AICS, while 500 beneficiaries from the transport sector received the same assistance in Asuncion.

On the other hand, a total of 1,700 farmers received the payout in Tagum City.

Vice Gov Uy thanked Speaker Romualdez and Tingog Rep. Yedda Romualdez for their continued support for Davao del Norte, noting that the establishment of the ATC and the AICS payout showed their commitment to helping all Filipinos, especially those who need it the most.

For his part, Mayor Dayaday also expressed gratitude to Speaker Romualdez and Tingog party list for bringing government services closer to his people, citing the distribution of financial assistance for members of the transport sector in the municipality of Asuncion.
