Thousands of tourists seen to flock to Tagaytay to spend holidays, long weekend break
TAGAYTAY CITY, CAVITE – Thousands of tourists are expected to flock to this city in the last days of December and the first week of the New Year 2025 to enjoy the cold climate and spend the long weekend break.
The local government unit under the leadership of Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and stakeholders are ready to receive the hundreds of thousands of people who will visit this city.
In a radio interview, Tagaytay Tourism Council executive vice president Dr. Kim Fajardo said the hotels are now in near full capacity.
Meanwhile, the Mabuhay Accomodation or the tourist inns, pension houses, motels, bed and breakfasts, vacation homes, hostels, guest houses are still available especially on the off- peak days of the holidays.
Fajardo said the Tagaytay City LGU and stakeholders have already made traffic plans as early as September 2024.
For the traffic management system, additional manpower or traffic aides were deployed to assist in the traffic flow in all strategic areas.
Additional alternate routes were desigtnated for more access in the target destinations in the city.
The LGU assured that there are many roads leading to Tagaytay and other tourists spots in Silang, Amadeo, Mendez and Alfonso towns.
Tourists flock to the nature parks because of the good climate, apart from Baguio City, which is closer to go to for an outing and bonding with families.
The Tagaytay mayor said there are theme parks like the Picnic Grove, People’s Park in the Sky, Skyranch and other religious sites in upland Cavite.
Apart from the theme parks, tourists will enjoy the delicious bulalo and crispy tawilis, the coffee shops and the majestic view of Taal Lake and the Taal Volcano.
“Tagaytay has the best vantage view point of the Taal Volcano, so tourists enjoy going here.” Tolentino added.
Tagaytay has a climate of 23 degrees celsius at night and 28 degrees during the day this yuletide season, a reason for tourists to visit and experience.
Tagaytay was the most visited Cavite LGU in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The city was awarded as the Top 1 with Overall Highest Tourist Arrivals for 2023, Top 1 Same-day Visitor Arrivals and Top 2 Overnight Arrivals in Calabarzon region during the Philippine Tourism Awards 2024 Regional Recognition and Calabarzon Tourism Excellence Awards held last December 3 at The Twin Lakes Hotel in Batangas.
