‘Theft’ at NAIA dismays Poe
COMMITTEE on Public Services chairperson Sen. Grace Poe expressed on Monday, February 27, 2023, her dismay over the alleged theft by airport personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
During a press conference, Poe said the security personnel involved in the incident should be charged criminally if proven to have stolen money from the departing Thai tourist.
In a viral video uploaded by the victim online, a security personnel was caught returning to the tourist his money.
Poe said she will ask the Office of Transportation Security for a report on its investigation on the incident, as well as closed-circuit television (CCTV) footages and previous cases of theft at the country’s main gateway.
