THANKSGIVING FELLOWSHIP
PJ, PT, journalnews, People’s Taliba thanks for everyone’s support
“WITH the support of People’s Journal, Peoples Tonight, journalnews and peoplestaliba, the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the House of Representatives led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez and the Senate headed by Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero are pressing the fight against fake news and pursuing the aim of government to better the lot of Filipinos toward a new Philippines.”
This was the brief message of Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Assistant Secretary Mario Fetalino Jr. who represented the PCO headed by Secretary Cesar Chavez in a simple fellowship at the Philippine Journalists Inc. publications held December 20 at the PJI editorial department in Port Area, Manila.
In response, PJ editor-chief- Manuel H. Ces thanked Assec. Fetalino and assured him of the continued support of the PJI newspapers and portals to the goals and programs of the PBBM administration through the PCO.
Ces stressed that the PJI editorial family will be a steadfast partner of PCO in combatting misinformation and disinformation or fake news.
Ces said the fellowship was held as a thanksgiving for the continued success of PJ, PT, journalnews, peoplestaliba achieved with the help of advertisements and unwavering support of stakeholders and readers.
All present said a prayer for more and even better years for PJI.
Underscoring the accomplishments of PCO concerning Philippine media PJ, PT, journalnews and peoplestaliba gave PCO plaques of appreciation.
The plaques were presented to Secretary Chavez and Assec. Fetalino for their “tireless efforts in upholding the truth in Philippine journalism and for being a staunch ally of media in the fight against false information and the quest for a better society.”
The fellowship was in line with the call of President Marcos to keep Christmas celebrations simple in deference to calamity victims.
