MOTORISTS will experience oil price hike anew as oil companies announced that they will raise their pump prices starting today.

Oil giant Chevron Philippines in its advisory said their diesel products will go up by P0.40 per liter while gasoline and kerosene by P0.20 per liter effective at 12:01 a.m.

Two other major oil firms, Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell, along with small players Seaoil Philippines and Flying V also announced the same price adjustments effective at 6 a.m.

Independent oil companies PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Unioil Philippines, Total Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum and Eastern Petroleum which do not sell kerosene, will implement the same price increases on their diesel and gasoline products starting at 6 a.m. while Clean Fuel at 4:01 p,m. on Tuesday.

PTT Communication Officer Jay Julian said the price increase which also accounted for their 11th consecutive price hike since July is in line with the continued reduction in supply by Saudi Arabia and Russia.
