Termite Gang hits mall in Pampanga
FIVE members of the notorious termite gang on Saturday struck a mall in Guaga, Pampanga.
Alert police arrested Bong Jacob, 43, of Katengan Bisao, Mountain Province; Leonard Legoen, 38, of Palina, Taloy Tuba, Benguet; Abanse Baiwes, 41, of Bunga Besao, Mountain Province; and Loren Cayabas, 25, of 0282 Middle East Quirino Hill, Baguio City.
The suspects gained entry inside the GT7 Star Mall located in Bgy. San Matias in Guagua by digging a tunnel from a road drainage going inside the establishment.
The robbers used hydraulic jacks, a steel saw, and steel bars in digging the tunnel and almost carted away P173,350 in cash.
However, patrolling mobile police on JASA Road, San Matias, Guagua were informed by security guard Robert Cabato of the robbery still in progress inside the establishment.
Lawmen immediately responded and arrested the suspects.
