Teen holdup suspect hurt in Cavite shootout with cops

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – An 18-year-old holdup is critical and is being observed in the hospital after a shootout with cops on Friday, December 16, 2022 along Marcos Alvarez road, Bgy. Molino II here.

The suspect, a resident of Brgy. San Nicolas III, Bacoor, suffered stomach injuries.

During the police investigation, a victim, of Bgy. Salawag Dasmariñas, Cavite, asked for help from Mobile Police Sergeant Ryan Villar and Patrolman Jamar Estrella of Delta 1 Sector 4 regarding the alleged holdup, which occurred at around 1:50 a.m. while he was walking on Marcos Alvarez road Bgy. Molino II Bacoor City.

The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and declared a holdup.

The teener allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone.

During a follow-up operation, police spotted a man running away and told him to surrender.

However, the suspect fired shots, resulting in a chase and more exchange of shots.

The suspect was hit in the stomach and rushed to the hospital.
