Teen collared for sextortion; asks victim to ‘cancel’ his debt via sexual favors
AGENTS of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) nabbed a 19-year-old man for his “vile” scheme to use a woman’s nude pics for his personal gain.
The young suspect was caught at a downtown Cebu City lodge during an entrapment operation by the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU).
According to the NBI, the suspect demanded “sexual favors” and for the woman to “forgive his debt” in exchange for not sharing her sensitive photos on the Internet.
The victim bravely filed a complaint, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect.
The suspect is now facing serious charges for violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act or Republic Act (RA) No. 10175 and Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (RA 9262).
