IT was Calvin Oftana’s night for TNT Tropang Giga.

Oftana finished with a team-high 25 points, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc, to power the Tropang Giga to a 108-99 victory over the Meralco Bolts in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Oftana also had seven rebounds and three assists to lead the Tropang Giga to the top spot in Group A with a 6-1 win-loss record.

Import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 22 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and two blocks and Kim Aurin had 16 points, Jayson Castro also had 12 and JP Erram chipped in with 11 for the Chot Reyes-mentored Tropang Giga.

Allen Durham and Chris Newsome led the Bolts.

Durham finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Newsome added 23 points for the 5-2 Bolts of coach Luigi Trillo.

Bong Quinto and CJ Cansino contributed 12 points each while Banchero chipped in 10 points.

Also, former NBA player Shabazz Muhammad hit the game-winning shot as the Magnolia Chicken Timplados survived Terrafirma Dyip, 99-98.

Muhammad led the Hotshots with 20 points and four rebounds while Zav Lucero added 17 points, five rebounds and three blocks for the Hotshots of Chito Victolero.

Calvin Abueva had 15 markers.

Antonio Hester paced the Dyip with 39 points, 16 rebounds and five assists.

Kevin Ferrer and Stanley Pringle added 18 and 17 points, respectively.
