TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite – The city government has formally opened registration for residents aged 12 to 17 who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
An information from the local government said youths who want to enlist in the city’s vaccination program can contact their Barangay Vaccine Focal Person.
Authorities are set to issue an announcement when the city government will begin the inoculation for minors.
Residents will also be informed on other details about the vaccination such as the program’s start date and the type of vaccine to be distributed.
“Kapag sinabi ng DOH (Department of Health) na pwede na namin simulan ang pagbabakuna, we can start immediately,” city health officer Dr. Liza Capupus said.
A total of 58,536 individuals or 98 percent of the population in Tagaytay City already got their first dose while 76 percent or 45, 395 individuals were fully-vaccinated.
The computation was based on the 70 percent of the population of the locality.
Inoculation for A1, A1.8, A1.9, A2, A3, A4 and A5 priority groups are ongoing at the Tagaytay City Convention Center in Bgy Kaybagal.
Tagaytay City has a population of 85,334 based on the 2020 census.
