Suspect in ‘rape-slay’ of girl,16, falls
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite. Less than 24 hours since the body of a 16-year-old Grade 9 student was found under a bridge, one of the three suspects in the suspected rape-slay of the victim was arrested by Trece Martires City, Cavite police.
The arrested suspect was identified as Elden Nesesito Alegria, 33, construction worker, resident of Sunshine Ville, Brgy. Cabuco, Trece Martires City. Cops also nabbed his brother and another, a resident of Sitio Aldaba Hills Brgy Minuyan Proper, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan, where the suspect allegedly hid.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Asnan, local police chief, led authorities in arresting the suspect.
Asnan said they received information on the alleged whereabouts of the suspect and immediately conducted a follow up operation in coordination with Bulacan police in Alegria’s alleged hiding place in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
The body of the Grade 9 rape-slay victim was found under the bridge in Sunshine Ville, Brgy. Cabuco, on Tuesday. She has head and neck wounds and it was believed to have been raped.
The suspect’s alleged briefs and other items were recovered from the crime scene.
