Sulu man yields P8.8M shabu in Zambo raid
A 43-year old resident of Siasi, Sulu was arrested in a buy-bust in Zamboanga City, which yielded an estimated P8.8 million worth of shabu, a Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission report said yesterday.
Suspect Adus Janaidi Aming was placed under arrest during a sting in Maasin, Zamboanga City around 1:12 p.m. Friday. Zamboanga City Police Office under Colonel Alexander Lorenzo relayed the report to PAOCC chairman, Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin.
The arresting officers, led by Major Albin Cabayacruz, the head of the Zamboanga City Police Station 11, recovered two large heat-sealed plastic sachets and six medium-sized plastic packets containing around 1.3 kilograms of shabu worth P8.840 million and the buy-bust money topped by two marked P500 bills from the suspect.
The suspect is now detained in Zamboanga City facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
