Sta. Ana dialysis unit gets more funding

MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno has ordered the renovation of the dialysis unit of the Sta. Ana Hospital after receiving a P20 million donation from a private individual.

Moreno congratulated Sta. Ana hospital director Dr. Grace Padilla and the medical personnel who can now further serve patients with the renovation of the unit for dialysis patients.

Padilla thanked Moreno for choosing Sta. Ana as the beneficiary of the donation, saying the renovation of the dialysis unit at the sixth floor will definitely be a big help.

Moreno said the renovation has already started and the unit will be provided with necessary the medical equipment.

The renovation will include the provision of six hemodialysis chairs with portable RO for COVID patients.

According to Padilla, isolation rooms for dialysis patients with COVID-19 will also be provided and dialysis unit will be placed at the Intensive Care Unit.

Moreno said the newly-renovated dialysis unit will complement the Flora V. Valisno de Siojo Dialysis Center’ which is located at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center under its director Dr. Ted Martin.
