GO Torokku-St. Clare capitalized on a strong first half to defuse the challenge of CCI-Yengskivel, 114-106, in the quarterfinals Monday and advance to the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup semifinals at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Megan Galang scored 19 points, Senegal’s Ndong Babacar had 14 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks whilw Charles Bryan Burgos also scored 14 points and grabbed six boards for the Saints.

Top-ranked and defending two-time champion EcoOIl-DLSU awaits Go Torakku-St. Clare in Game 1 of the best-of-three series that begins tomorrow at the Ynares Sports Arena.

But Go Torokku-St. Clare will not be denied, handing CCI-Yengskivel its second loss in less than a week.
