Sputnik gang member, 2 cohorts yield P1.7M shabu
PAMPANGA – An alleged member of the notorious Sputnik Gang and his two female cohorts on Tuesday were arrested and seized from them at least P1.7 million worth of shabu in an entrapment operation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
In a report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Pampanga Police Acting Director Col. Alvin Ruby Consolacion, said Mabalacat Police led by Lt. Col. Protom Guevarra and his men, including members of RPDEU, conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, which resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects.
Confiscated from the suspects were eight plastic sachets of shabu weighing 250 grams valued at P1,700,000, marked money, two body bags, a digital weighing scale, P1,200 cash, and two cellphones.
The three suspects will be charged with violating Sections 5, 26, and 11 of Art. II of RA 9165.
”We are relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs, and we will keep on conducting anti-drugs operations to stop its proliferation – may this serve as a warning to those who are still involved in illegal trade and illegal activities,” Baccay said.
