HOUSE Assistant Minority Leader and ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Niña Taduran has called for the immediate resolution of the case involving the death of a media person in Quezon City.
Taduran said the suspects involved in the killing of Gwenn Salamida, former editor of the tabloid Remate, should answer to this horrible crime.
Under the proposed Media Workers Welfare Bill which she authored, Taduran said members of the media who fall victim to crimes, accidents and other causes of death while in active duty will be assured of the benefits under an insurance coverage.
Salamida, who was operating a salon in Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City, was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding suspects this week.
