SOUTHERN Police District (SPD) director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg lauded the success of two separate drug sting operations Friday evening in Pasay and Taguig cities.
Elements of Pasay City Police were conducting foot patrol at around 6:30 p.m. along Market Road, Brgy. 91 when they chanced upon John Paul Chua, 40, while walking in a public place without wearing a face mask which is a clear violation of public health protocols.
When policemen accosted him and asked for his identification card for the issuance of Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR), a small plastic sachet containing 0.11 grams of shabu valued at P748.00 fell from his pocket, prompting lawmen to place him under arrest.
In Taguig City, elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested Jervie Sta Ana, 19, and Jenny Magbalana, 37, both of Brgy. Ligid-Tipas after conspiring to sell a small heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu worth P200 to a police poseur-buyer along an alley in J. Ramos St., Brgy. Ligid-Tipas.
When frisked by the operatives, the suspects yielded more or less 11 grams of shabu with a standard price of P74,800.00 and the P200 buy-bust money.
