Sotto-Lacson tandem eyes 5 more senatoriables
SENATE President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III on Thursday confirmed that he and Senator Panfilo Lacson are considering four or five more names including one big personality, to complete its senatorial line-up for the 2022 elections.
“To be very candid about it, there are about four or five names that we’re looking at and all five names are experienced,” Sotto said.
“Meron kaming kausap na malaking tao eh, baka sa Sabado magkasundo kami,” Sotto added.
Sotto on Wednesday night bared 10 personalities included in their senatorial ticket for the coming polls.
These include former Senator JV Ejercito, Governor Chiz Escudero, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, Senator Dick Gordon, Cong. Lucy Torres-Gomez, Secretary Gringo Honasan, former Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal, Cong. Loren Legarda, Senator Joel Villanueva and Senator Migz Zubiri
The Lacson-Sotto tandem, the first to confirm their 2022 bids, will need two more to complete their senatorial ticket.
