Sofronio napaluhod nang tanghaling kampeon sa ‘The Voice USA’

Isang Filipino singer ang nagbigay ng panibagong karangalan sa ating bansa nang tanghalin siyang grand winner sa katatapos lamang na “The Voice USA.”

Gumawa ng history ang 32-year-old na si Sofronio Vasquez bilang first Asian na nag-champion at nakapag-uwi ng titulo para sa 26th season ng nasabing hit American talent show.

Sa finals ng kompetisyon, inawit ni Vasquez ang “Unstoppable” ni Sia at “A Million Dreams” mula sa “The Greatest Showman.”

Napaluhod ang Pinoy singer nang ianunsyo na ang kanyang pangalan as the grand champion sa finals night ng The Voice na ginanap sa Amerika ngayong araw (Philippine time).

Maging ang coach niyang si Michael Bublé ay napaiyak habang sinasaksihan ang winning moment ng kanyang Pinoy mentee.

“Michael… it’s so weird to say Michael, I call you Sir. Your mentorship is a blessing to me, to my family, and to all the dreamers out there.

You open the doors for everyone. Thank you so much,” mensahe ni Sofronio sa kanyang coach before the final announcement.

Ayon naman kay Buble, “Well, my Filipino brother, you are the hope of so many people. Not just in the Philippines, but Asians everywhere truly are looking at you tonight. So proud.”

He added, “You represent them so well and it’s such an unbelievable journey to be here with you.”

Nanalo si Sofronio after receiving most number of votes.

He took home $100,000 plus a recording contract.

Lumaki sa Pilipinas si Sofronio at dati na siyang sumali sa “Tawag ng Tanghalan” ng “It’s Showtime” kung saan ay umabot siya sa semi-finals round.

Taong 2022 nang magtungo siya sa Amerika para ipagpatuloy ang kanyang singing career matapos pumanaw ang ama.
