TARGET ng small committee na binuo ng Kamara de Representantes na tapusin ang mga amyenda sa 2024 General Appropriations Bills o House Bill (HB) No. 8980 sa Oktubre 10 kung saan kasama dito ang pagtapyas sa confidential at intelligence fund (CIF) ng civilian departments at agencies.

Ito ang sinabi ni House committee on appropriations chairman at Ako Bicol partylist Rep. Zaldy Co isang araw matapos ang unang pagpupulong ng small committee noong Martes, Oktubre 3.

Ayon kay Co maraming nakalinyang pag-amyenda o realignment sa panukalang budget kasama rito ang CIF ng iba’t ibang civilian agencies.

“As authorized by the House and consistent with parliamentary precedent, the small committee has until October 10, 2023 to finish its task. Since the proposed amendments are of great interest to media and the Filipino people, we shall announce the changes at the proper time,” ayon kay Co.

“There are numerous budget items lined up for amendments and/or realignment including the Confidential and Intelligence Funds (CIF) of various civilian agencies,” dagdag pa ni Co.

Hiniling ni Co sa publiko na hayaan ang small committee na magawa ang iniatas na trabaho rito.

“In the meantime, please bear with us and allow us to perform our assigned tasks as mandated by the House of Representatives.” sabi pa ni Co.
