SM Foundation turns over 200th renovated health center
Sta. Cruz, Laguna – The municipality of Sta. Cruz, Laguna is the recipient of the 200th SM Foundation-renovated health center.
The renovation of the Sta. Cruz Rural Health Unit by SM Foundation is a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to help the government ensure adequate health services are given to residents at the barangay level.
The health center was given a total makeover by SM Foundation to give it a more relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere for patients.
Installed in the health center were energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, inverter-type air-conditioning units and a rainwater catchment system for sustainability.
SM Foundation also provided the center with new furniture and fixtures, a play cabinet with toys for young patients while awaiting consultation, and a breastfeeding area for mothers and their babies.
It is a PWD friendly facility with special toilets for them. Ramps were likewise installed for easy accessibility to move around for consultation, for treatment and for access to the pharmacy for their free medicines.
