SM Foundation launches KSK Farmers Day in Baliwag
Baliwag, Bulacan – SM Foundation boosts its collaboration with the Department of SocialWelfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Municipal Agriculture Office with the launch KSK Farmers Market Day in more SM Markets. Launched recently were KSK Farmers Market Day in SM City Baliwag.
The holding of KSK Farmers Market is a step to ensure the sustainability of the Kabalikat saKabuhayan (KSK) training program. With the KSK Farmers Market, KSK farmer-graduates are given the opportunity to market their harvests—vegetables, fruits, and other high-value crops—and at the same time customers are provided with fresh produce at reasonable prices.
The launch at SM City Baliwag was graced by Baliwag Mayor Ferdie Estrella who was among the guest speakers. Also present were Municipal Agriculture Office head Mr. Clemente Labao, and Ms. Josephine Lopez, head of MDSWD.
