SILANG, Cavite — After completing the rigors of their first 45 days in the New Cadets Orientation Course, 379 members of the PNPA SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026 formally incorporated with the rest of the Upperclass Corps, Friday, August 26, 2022 at Camp Mariano Castaneda here.

The result of their preparation for this significant event was evident as the new cadets demonstrated their prowess in executing the manual of arms a sign that they are indeed ready to fully embrace their journey as Iskolars Para sa Bayan and participate in all Corps activities alongside the rest of their upperclassmen.

The activity was spearheaded by the Acting Director PNPA, PBGEN Eric E. Noble, who expressed his delight at the cadets’ snappy execution of the drills and ceremony calling it “world class” who himself had seen the same from major service academies in the United States. In his message, BGen Noble emphasized the importance of the parents’ presence, stating that stakeholder engagement is critical in furthering the interests of the country’s premier police higher educational institution and its cadets. He also vowed that under his leadership, there will be no place for bad practices and all acts that go against the ideals of the M+K+K=K (Malasakit sa Kapwa Kadete) Thrust aligned with that of the National Headquarters of the Philippine National Police under the leadership of PGEN Rodolfo S Azurin Jr.

“I still can’t believe I made it this far when I was on the verge of giving up. But I kept my resolve, inspired by my family and the desire to serve our country and people; I knew I had always wanted this, and I told myself there was no turning back. I am grateful to the Academy for providing me and my classmates with the opportunity to grow.”

That motivation of Cdt 4th Class Cueva, a native of Nueva Ecija and a Senior High School graduate prior to his entry into the Academy, speaks well on behalf of the class, who came from various walks of life but were united in their desire to become a part of the grand assembly of refined individuals who will become future leaders of this country.

“This occasion is like a trip down memory lane for me; I was there many years ago, and now that my son is taking his turn, I have mixed emotions, remembering the past while also being aware of the many more challenges he will face along the way. Remain resilient and adaptive to change, focus on your goals, abide by the rules, regulations, and the Honor System; and live up to the standards of the Academy’s motto of Justice, Integrity, Service’ consistent with the virtues of Honor, Discipline, and Excellence,” retired PBGen Ronaldo De Jesus advised his son and his classmates.

The Incorporation Rites on Friday was a fitting conclusion for the week as the cadets start the 1st Semester of their Academic Year, yet another battle for the cadets to prove their mettle. Family and friends were invited to witness the Rites while those who were not able to make it physically joined virtually through FB livestreaming and Zoom Meeting.

After the traditional pass in review, the plebes were given the opportunity to receive and interact with their visitors who came from the different provinces in the country providing them the much-deserved ease interval from the rudiments of their daily activities.
