‘SHE’S RATTLED’
NO amount of political maneuvering can hide Vice President Sara Duterte’s desperation.
This is according to Tingog Party-list Representative Jude Acidre in reaction to the petition filed by Duterte trying to stop the impeachment trial against her.
“The Vice President is clearly rattled. Her desperation is showing,” Acidre said.
“Just months ago, she declared she welcomed the impeachment complaint. Now, she’s pulling every trick in the book to stop it from moving forward. If she truly had nothing to hide, why the sudden fear? Her hypocrisy is staggering,” the solon added.
On the other hand, Acidre said, the Vice President has the reason to be scared as the House Prosecution Panel is prepared to lay out damning evidence against her, and the Filipino people are watching.
A recent survey shows that 73 percent believe she must face a Senate trial for her alleged role in a plot against President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.
“She should be scared—because the truth is closing in, and no amount of deception will save her from it,” he also said.
