Several roads for reblocking, repairs by DPWH
THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to conduct road reblocking and repairs in several areas in Metro Manila starting Friday before midnight.
In its traffic advisory, the MMDA announced that starting 11:00 p.m. Friday, the portion of EDSA Shaw Mandaluyong City northbound innermost lane from EDSA Shaw Blvd. going to Doña Julia Vargas Avenue near SM Megamall-Building D will be close to traffic along with EDSA Quezon City northbound/EDSA Quezon City southbound – after New York St., Kamuning 1st lane from the sidewalk and after Aurora Blvd., to Arayat 2nd lane from the sidewalk.
Road reblocking and repairs will also be conducted along C-5 Road northbound (4th lane), before McKinley Road, Makati City; EDSA southbound Caloocan City, before Urbano Plata St., (2nd lane from the sidewalk); and Mindanao Avenue northbound Quezon City – from Phoenix Gas Station to after Road 20 (2nd lane/truck lane).
Agham Road after Quezon Avenue (2nd lane from the center island), along with EDSA southbound Quezon City – Service road 3rd lane along South Avenue intersection and 2nd lane from sidewalk corner South Avenue to Kamuning Road; C.P. Garcia Avenue Quezon City – fronting U.P. Ayala TBI (1st and 2nd block from sidewalk); C-5 Road Pasig City – along Pasig Blvd.
Southbound in front of St. Ignatius de Loyola Health Care Services and near Sitel Building; and Times Street Quezon City corner West Avenue fronting Kowloon House and Tandang Sora Avenue Quezon City – Visayas Avenue to San Miguel Street.
The MMDA advised motorists to take alternative routes as affected roads will be fully passable by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16. By Edd Reyes
